Applications of quadratic D-forms to generalized quadratic forms
In this paper, we study generalized quadratic forms over a division algebra with involution of the first kind in characteristic two. For this, we associate to every generalized quadratic from a quadratic form on its underlying vector space. It is shown that this form determines the isotropy behavior and the isometry class of generalized quadratic forms.
متن کاملOn “horizontal” Invariants Attached to Quadratic Forms
We introduce series of invariants related to the dimension for quadratic forms over a field, study relationships between them and prove a few results about them. This is the TEX-ing of a manuscript from 1993 entitled Quadratic forms and simple algebras of exponent two. The original manuscript contained an appendix that has appeared in [K3]: I removed it and replaced references to it by referenc...
متن کاملAutomorphic Forms and Related Zeta Functions
For a division quaternion algebra D with the discriminant two, we construct Maass cusp forms on GL2(D) explicitly by some lifting from Maass cusp forms for Γ0(2). This is an analogue of the Saito-Kurokawa lifting. We expect that this lifting leads to a construction of a CAP representation of GL2(D), which is an inner form of GL(4). The aim of the talk is to report recent progress of our study o...
متن کاملZeta Functions for Equivalence Classes of Binary Quadratic Forms
They are sums of zeta functions for prehomogeneous vector spaces and generalizations of Epstein zeta functions. For the rational numbers and imaginary quadratic fields one can define these functions also for SL(2, ^-equivalence, which for convenience we call 1equivalence. The second function arises in the calculation of the Selberg trace formula for integral operators on L(PSL(2, (!?)\H) where ...
متن کاملThe Joint Universality of Zeta-functions Attached to Certain Cusp Forms
The notion of the universality appears in various fields of mathematics. A general definition of the universality is given in [6]. Let X and Y be topological spaces and Tj : X → Y , j ∈ I, be continuous mappings. Then an element x ∈ X is called universal with respect to the family {Tj , j ∈ I} if the set {Tjx : j ∈ I} is dense in Y . Many universal objects of various nature are known, see an ex...
